Field & Studio
Jorah is developing art and ecology kits that bring wildlife biology into the creative process. Each kit will explore a native species, its habitat, and its role in the ecosystem, using close observation to guide students’ artistic choices.
Designed for homeschool families and educators, the kits will pair a fine art print with illustrated ecology notes, technique guides, and hands-on practice. Students will investigate how a species’ features relate to its life in the wild, then experiment with ways to express what they discover through art.

A New Home for Sienna Fox Studio
Sienna Fox Studio’s new Waycross space is under construction, transforming a former printing shop into a home for painting and classes. Opening details to come.
Rooted in the woods, wetlands, and waterways of southeast Georgia, Jorah Mitchell creates fine art, murals, and educational artwork shaped by a lifelong connection to nature. Working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, she explores the character of wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit.Her paintings pair close attention to wildlife with an expressive use of light, color, and atmosphere. From intimate bird portraits to expansive coastal scenes, she is drawn to the moments that give a subject its presence.For more than a decade, her work has ranged from studio paintings to large-scale public art and community projects. Her artwork has been used in Georgia Department of Natural Resources educational materials & signage addressing invasive species and their impacts, connecting her art practice with conservation education and public outreach.Her developing Field & Studio art and ecology kits extend that connection by weaving wildlife biology into observation, experimentation, and creative expression. Across her work, Jorah seeks to help people look more closely at wildlife and better understand the ecosystems around them.
