Biography
From the woods and waterways of her Southern childhood to murals stretching across city walls, Jorah Blaise has always been guided by nature’s quiet pull. Working
primarily in oil and watercolor, her paintings are known for their soft realism, luminous
atmosphere, and the symbolic threads that run just beneath the surface. With over a decade of painting experience, Jorah has spent recent years refining her focus, stepping away from commissions to develop a more exclusive body of work. Her murals span public spaces throughout the Southeast—what she calls her open-air gallery—while her fine art has earned recognition through awards like the Island Art Association’s Art Nouveau Competition and the Judge Ben Smith Art Awards. In partnership with conservation groups—including the Georgia Department of Natural Resources—Jorah creates educational materials and public art designed to raise awareness about local ecosystems and species. Through Sienna Fox Studio, she uses her work to teach, inspire, and reconnect viewers with the natural world. Though she occasionally teaches, her studio practice remains central. An internationally selling artist, Jorah paints what nature reveals when we slow down and listen.
